Gregor Scneider is a crazy German artist who is pushing the boundaries of the "art world" and society as we know it, pushing people to the point that they flee from his work. Gregor has basically devoted his life to this. He has created rooms within rooms that will trap the viewer, dead (fake) bodies in a rubish bag with an erection, big black cubes in the middle of town squares and even human cells on Bondi Beach in Sydney. Gregor's current idea is the thought of actually exhibiting a dieing body in a gallery space. The viewer can literally watch the "artwork" die. To most of the art world, this is obscene and really it is. To the average person, death is something rarely discussed and viewed, but it is always around us! Whether it be plants, animals or people. It happens. The world seems to not appreciate the beauty of death. However, here is Gregor, enjoy him as much as I do.
